Space and time stop. Everything goes silent. Yet you feel everything.
Tunnel vision is described as focusing or viewing a single goal. Some describe it as losing your peripheral vision.
I really have never thought about tunnel vision much till today. Last night I got to photograph a concert for a good friend’s band in downtown Austin, TX. Concert/event photography is my absolute favorite thing to photograph.
Interesting enough, I have not photographed a concert in months. Last night I went into what I would say was full “tunnel vision.” It was like time stopped. I could see photos right before they happened. It was amazing. It felt like it lasted hours.
It was 20 minutes on the dot.
I feel like life got put back into my bones.
Last night was a good reminder that I should go after that thing that gives me tunnel vision. We all should. That feeling is more than a feeling.
It is a gift.
